So I know I need to start posting on a regular basis & I thought that a monthly favourites post would be the perfect option. I will be sharing my favourite products and techniques of the month, from skincare to makeup, fashion and general experiences. Hope you enjoy.
- Elemis – Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm
I have been trying this product out for about a week now and absolutely loving the results, I have to say the smell of this balm is AMAZING! it makes you feel like you’ve have a 10 minutes spa day. I heard so much about this so I just had to try it out!
To use this product, I firstly take off my eye makeup and eyebrows with a makeup wipe and then take a small amount of the balm in my fingers and rub it all over my face in circular motions. You don’t need to add water to the skin before you apply the balm. I then take the face cloth that comes with the balm and run it under hot water and soak the product off my face. This cleansing balm removes so much makeup you actually won’t believe, I then re-do this step to actually cleanse my skin. For the second cleanse you can leave this on for 10 minutes plus just to really make sure that the skin is nice and soft.
As I said before I have only been using this product for a week now and can already see amazing results, I will make sure to let you know how I’m doing a month down the line in my May Favourites post.
This retails at £40 and can be bought over the counter at Elemis, however I bought mine off the FeelUnique website.
2. L’Oreal Paris Infailible Matte Max Lip Pen
I love a matte lip and especially a nude or peach tone, you will rarely see me with red or brightly coloured lips. I finally got my hands on the 001 shade of the L’Oreal Matte Max Lip Pen, the colour is amazing, this really nourishes the lips and is so easy to apply and lasts for hours. I would definitely recommend, I purchased this from boots at £7.
3. L’Oreal Paris False lash Sculpt Mascara
This mascara is definitely one of the best ones I have tried over the last year, I love to use a plastic wand instead of a brush as I feel that it covers every single lash. As you probably know I am obsessed with false lashes but over the past few weeks I have just been using mascara since I don’t need them anymore, this makes my lashes look long and full of volume. This retails at £10.
4. Jo Malone – Peony Blush & Suede
I am such a huge fan of everything Jo Malone, as I used to work there before moving to London and I know what an amazing company they are. My mum purchased this fragrance for me and I love it, the candle smells incredible as well. This retails for £85.
5. Frank Body Lip Scrub & Lip Balm Duo
I received quite a lot of things from Frank Body a while ago and just got round to using this lip balm and scrub recently, my normal lip scrub is the Lush Bubblegum and my usual lip balm is Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Repair Cream. Obviously Frank Body is centred around coffee, the scrub has a strong coffee smell which I love! I have to say its not as tasty as the Lush Bubblegum but obviously your not supposed to eat it haha. It contains ground robusta coffee beans and coffee seed oil and leaves your lips feeling beaut. The lip balm is so thick and nourishing. I apply this every morning before my makeup and every night before bed, using the scrub every 2 days. You can buy this on the Frank Body website and retails at £12 per set.
I hope you all have a lovely week!
